Nature-based verified projects that store and capture carbon

WHY FORESTRY PROJECTS?

Forests capture and store carbon dioxide in their bark, wood and roots, and are recognized as a leading solution in the fight against rising CO2 levels worldwide. LivClean projects support two types of forestry actions; new planting and conservation of existing old growth forests, because both are essential. New trees take years to develop their carbon-absorbing powers; mature forests are already doing the job. Existing forests are also home to a diversity of plants and animals, some of which are endangered. Sadly, logging and development are depleting our forests at an alarming rate and projects like these seek to slow and prevent this loss.
