  • Great Bear Rainforest | LivClean | IFM Carbon Offset Project

Buy Offsets Now GREAT BEAR FOREST CARBON PROJECT British Columbia, Canada The Great Bear Forest Carbon Project covers more than 14 million acres in British Columbia and is home to the largest remaining intact coastal temperate rainforest in the world. The project aims to increase carbon capture and storage through improved forest management practices that balance timber harvesting with the overall health of the forest in an ecosystem based management regime. Forests that were previously available for logging are now protected cultural heritage sites, thereby preserving existing carbon stocks, reducing emissions caused by harvesting, road building and other forestry operations, and increasing the carbon stocks as the forest continues to grow. In addition to sequestering carbon, this unique landscape protects the habitats of many species that cannot be found anywhere else on the planet, such as the Kermode bear—fully white black bears that hold a prominent place in the oral histories of the indigenous peoples who live in the project area. The project also protects the Western Red Cedar, which is known as the “Tree of Life” and preserves important coastal and fresh water habitats for marine life. The Great Bear Rainforest project is a landmark project in Canada and represents the first project in North America on First Nation territory with unextinguished land rights and title. Great Bear balances human wellbeing with the improved management of the land, distributing carbon credit revenue among the Coastal First Nations group, a groundbreaking organization that brings together the 9 First Nation communities who inhabit the area. 100% TRANSPARENCY GUARANTEED T he British Columbia Great Bear Forest Carbon Project is measured in ex-post carbon credits with 100-year permanence protection backstopped by the Forest Carbon Asset Management System buffer pool. The project follows the British Columbia (BC) Forest Carbon Offset Protocol for Improved Forest Management and is tracked on the BC Forest Carbon Offset third-party public carbon-reduction registry. • Darkwoods British Columbia | LivClean | Forest Conservation for Carbon Capture

~SOLD OUT~ FOREST CONSERVATION British Columbia Our BC Forest Conservation Project aims to increase carbon capture by protecting areas of existing mature mountain temperate coniferous forests from threats of timber logging operations and real estate and road development, as well as implementing practices that balance the overall health of the ecosystem and protect from fire. Located within the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa First Nation privately owned lands, the project area covers 135,394 acres of Mountain Interior forest in south-eastern British Columbia, just north of the Idaho/Washington state borders and along the shores of Kootney Lake. In addition to carbon capture and storage, the project provides important forest habitat for at least 19 species at risk, including an endangered herd of mountain caribou, an isolated population of ‘red listed’ grizzly, wolverine and bull trout as well as many other native species animals, fish and birds. The project also preserves important freshwater systems throughout the South Selkirk Mountains. Public permitted access offers recreational opportunities for locals and visitors, as well as local First Nation use. 100% TRANSPARENCY GUARANTEED The project's carbon offsets are ex-post credits with 100-year permanence protection backstopped by the VCS buffer pool. The project follows the VCS standards for woodland preservation, is third party verified to ISO 14064-2 guidelines, follows the six principles of Carbon offset projects and is tracked on the VERRA third-party public carbon-reduction registry. The project has also been validated under the Climate, Community and Biodiversity (CCB) standard, and received a Gold Level certification for Exceptional Biodiversity Benefits. QUINTE COMMUNITY FOREST CARBON PROJECT Ontario, Canada Buy Offsets Now The Quinte Conservation Forestry Project is located on approximately 25,000 acres of mixed hardwood forests on the northeast shores on Lake Ontario, in Southern Ontario, Canada. The land enrolled under this carbon project is owned and managed by Quinte Conservation, a community-based environmental protection agency. The agency manages the land with the objective of creating a sustainable ecosystem where people and nature coexist in harmony. As forested land in Southern Ontario continues to be lost to development, Quinte Conservation’s commitment to managing the forest sustainably for the long-term provides important benefits to the health of the watersheds and a legacy for area residents. Though the project Quinte Conservation is developing an improved forest management strategies that recognize and ensure the permanent capture of CO2 through sustainable forest management. At a time when resources for Conservation Authorities such as Quinte are being cut despite continued pressure on the watersheds and natural ecosystems they protect, this project will provide resources that are reinvested into the forest to sequester carbon and enhance conservation efforts. Key project benefits include: The project area is known as an ecotone—an area of transition containing elements from the ecosystems it borders. Because of this, it has features that are completely unique to the area that are not found anywhere else. The project area protects the watershed, by supporting the ecosystem health in the drainage basins of the Napanee, Moira, and Salmon rivers. Trees serve as natural filters, purifying for downstream use. The project protects valuable habitat in increasingly shrinking natural areas. This project preserves more than 25,000 acres of forested land, home to hawks, eagles, waterfowl, mink, muskrat and more. The project provides recreation benefits. Carbon revenue is helping to protect community values and resources for the future generations. 100% TRANSPARENCY GUARANTEED The project's carbon offsets are ex-post credits with a perpetual permanence protection backstopped by a buffer pool. The project follows the American Carbon Registry Improved Forest Management Methodology, and is third-party verified and validated. The project follows the six principles of carbon offset projects and is tracked on the ACR third-party public carbon-reduction registry. View on AMERICAN CARBON REGISTRY

Forests capture and store carbon dioxide in their bark, wood and roots, and are recognized as a leading solution in the fight against rising CO2 levels worldwide. LivClean projects support two types of forestry actions; new planting and conservation of existing old growth forests, because both are essential. New trees take years to develop their carbon-absorbing powers; mature forests are already doing the job. Existing forests are also home to a diversity of plants and animals, some of which are endangered. Sadly, logging and development are depleting our forests at an alarming rate and projects like these seek to slow and prevent this loss. 100% TRANSPARENCY ~GUARAN TEED~ All our projects are validated by third-party audito rs and tracked on public registries, ensuring each and every contribution is making a world of difference.
