Average House
An average house is defined as a single detached home of approximately 1,600 square feet, using both electricity and natural gas. mid-size cars
A mid-sized car is defined as a car with an average fuel efficiency of approximately 10km per liter and is driven 25,000 km per year. The emission rate is provided by Transport Canada. If you would prefer a more accurate calculation of the energy use of your car(s), go to MY LIFESTYLE Plan.

Annual
When you choose an annual offset plan, an annual charge is taken off your credit card and your annual carbon offset requirements are obtained and retired on your behalf at that time. You can update your plan to increase or decrease your tonnage offsets at anytime. For more information, see our terms & conditions.

Monthly
When you choose a monthly offset plan, a monthly charge is taken off your credit card, and one twelfth of your annual carbon offset is retired every month. You don’t have to worry about remembering to re-order each year, as your monthly plan will continue until you cancel it (minimum of 30 days notice required). Deluxe Home Plan:
The Deluxe Home Plan offsets 12 tonnes of greenhouse gases – the amount generated by the annual natural gas & electricity use in an average house, and the emissions of 1 mid-size car.
